After my Reddit post but before the livestream - I have no idea how she knew

The time frame between the Reddit post (deleted less than an hour after being posted) and the livestream was so narrow that it's one-in-a-million that she found it by chance.

Either her brother tipped her off, perhaps to warn her (and by extension, their father) of some unwanted attention coming their way via social media.

Or - she is active (anonymously of course) in exJW circles and was tipped off by someone else.

his sister doesn’t shun him. She isn’t a JW anymore and hasn’t been for some years

I knew she wasn’t a JW anymore. Her FB profile is littered with political opinions and mentions of celebrating her daughter’s birthday, but she evidently still has a relationship with their dad from what I can see.

From how Lloyd presented it, she doesn’t speak to him but claims it has nothing to do with his apostasy.

Interesting though that she had choice words for you. Over the fact you worked for him or you revealing the Thailand affair?

One has to wonder how after hundreds and hundreds of video content already released, why is he going back and opening up his “Lloyd the JW” vaults now? (Side note: It would have been a perfect one to make shortly before the “I’m Taking a Break” era and really would have made people sympathise with him more about his supposed mental health crisis).

It’s essentially a PR campaign. The JW pics are awkward to be sure, but you don’t see the gluttonous pig who sent those vile emails to Dijana or left his family for a sex holiday in Thailand. You see poor and innocent Lloyd, who was misled like all of you. He’s Biden at the ice cream stand, or Trump at the burger place. He’s one of “us”!

It humanises him to the point of where former JWs, many of whom have comparable pics in the recent past can relate to. It also is something that requires little effort. Open up a folder with old pics of yourself and you can talk all day about what you were doing and who you were with. No prep needed, just roll the pics and narrate. Speaking about yourself in the first person is one of the easiest things to do.

This is “Volume One”, so if this picks up more attention as it seems to have already done, then you’ll see him scrape the bottom for whatever he can manage to find. When he digs out the family pics, you’ll know he’s really thinking this is working and wants to emotionally manipulate people further, especially when it has to deal with his late mum and the two surviving family members who shun him.

One to be precise….that’s how long the calls went for…no prep required

The ones I watched were just like that. He threw the live chat open and made inane comments until someone threw him a bone and asked a question he could answer. During the last one someone asked him to analyse the personalities of the GB members which he was happy to do. It filled up most of the hour.

There's not a whole lot of interest in these livestreams and they are just gimmicks to make it appear that the patrons are getting something that non-patrons are not.

As far as I can tell, and as many others have said already, Lloyd totally despises his patreons

Not just the patrons, but the content too. He has little to no interest in exJW content anymore, which would explain him avoiding a lot of subjects and just focusing on the ones he can do in his sleep like convention rebuttals. It's also notable that he's not interested in making "documentary" style videos anymore. The last aborted one was filming a climate protest. Though he's thankful for those who still support him, he's still thinking of the 300+ who've dropped and the overall downward trend. He resents the fact he needs to work his way back into this gig after last year.

He displays all the traits of someone who is disinterested in his job and is phoning it in at this point.

These patron livestreams are a chore anyway because they are sparsely attended and he has to jump round like a circus monkey for coins. So let’s hear what Lloyd thinks about Tony Morris for yet another go round. Compelling content.

I loved OldGoat. That was Lloyd’s first ever apostate post. Lloyd went ever further and suggested a bigger scandal than it really was because in a video re-creation of the event at Cedar Point, they didn’t include the flags. OG retorted: “Or maybe they didn’t want all these letters coming in about the damn flags!”.

he doesn’t want other people to see what is being truthfully said about him. The proposed personal mute button simply wouldn’t cut it for that purpose.

It’s going to be a difficult choice for him to make. On one hand he can no longer make drive-by responses to people he has blocked without starting some shit that will instantly get him ratioed. And it opens up all his tweets to responses that can be read by everyone and if he mutes, all he is doing is blocking himself from reading anything from that particular account. This will become a problem when the court files are released and his followers get to have a taste for what idiocy they paid for.

Yet for what he does, he needs as many platforms as possible and a complete and total Twitter exit would hurt him as well.

My guess is he’ll try to mitigate the damage by leaving his main account inactive whilst using the JWWatch account to plug his videos and fight back through various burners.

And Twitter used to be his domain and he absolutely ruled there. So tragic.

That's exactly who introduced that dialect to me and I wasn't impressed by those idiots flicking lit cigarettes at interviewers. Then Jabba the Hutt comes out with his bloated and ugly face and fucked up the Mancunian for good.

Lloyd reminds me of their slow witted younger brother, who mummy sent off to live with their JW aunt when the Gallagher brothers started getting into drugs. Years later he wants to come out and piggyback off their success.

"Lloyd Gallagher here... I was repressed! I can play the guitar and write songs like Noel! I can belt a tune like Liam! I'm a big thing in ... Zagreb? I need to outdo them somehow in the debauchery dept... let's see. I got it! Sex tourism to Thailand!"

IMO the West Country dialect is underrated. Closest thing the UK has to the Dukes of Hazzard.

I think exJWs tend to use the phrase "JW mindset" in this context just to dismiss criticism (sometimes legitimate, sometimes not) of their own words or actions. Someone like Lloyd especially uses it in this way.

It should come as no surprise to you that Lloyd likes to use manipulative language - all designed to lead everyone to his desired conclusion.

Telling a former JW that they are acting like a JW is our own Godwin’s Law. It is so over-used and seldom true. We know Lloyd was using it the moment he got off the JW bus because it was on this forum where it happened. A common refrain from him at the time was “interesting logic there. The last time I heard something like that was when I was sitting in the KINGDOM HALL” or the lame quip of “you’d make a good elder”.

A “JW mindset” seems to have become his code word for anything a former JW disagrees with him about, in particular this scandal. Inside the organisation we were always told about “Christendom” in a similar fashion. It began to lose its meaning over time due to overuse and application to everything anti-WT. But JWs were alerted by the very mention of it - similar to when someone talked about Satan, demons or something being “demonised”. Christendom! Demons! Not interested la-la-la-la!!

Lloyd Evans weaponises words which is designed to make the listener discount the source of the information immediately. It’s why he calls people “criminal defendants” and the people agreeing with them. I’m old enough to remember him warning everyone that just because they have not gotten a legal threat letter or have been named in the lawsuit, it doesn’t mean they are immune from future litigation!

Did you hear that, JWN!? YOU can and will be sued too! My legal team is on the case! Your anonymous handles will not protect you from the long arm of Croatian law! Hey, why has this thread passed 1000 pages?

We’re criminals after all, and liars too. That he put all his eggs into that basket so publicly is why we’re all waiting for that can of worms to burst open and cover his face in humiliation like the “money shot” in his favourite porno flick.

Being gossipy and judgmental about someone is not confined to JWs and WT. I’ve sat through many a local needs talk about gossip. They actually discourage it, yet most JWs actively engage in it. Why? Some of you already answered it - it’s human nature. Why are we always hearing about Harry and Meghan? They are irrelevant both to the monarchy and in real life. How about the sex lives of celebrities? Lloyd’s not immune to gossiping either. He often comments on whatever is in the news that has nothing to do with him or his business.

So if we really want to delve deep into the fabled “JW Mindset”, you can for example take Lloyd’s tactics and make a simple comparison with actual WT practices and doctrines. He tells people not to gossip, except for when he’s doing it. Yet so does the WT for essentially the same reasons. WT wants to control what you think and talk about so that it doesn’t trend in a negative direction against them. So does Lloyd. WT also doesn’t want you judging people, even the disfellowshipped. They do the judging here and if someone is DFed that’s it, stop talking about it and do as you are told. Likewise with the “criminal defendants”. They’re liars! That’s why they are being criminally sued! The Croatian justice system will deal with them shortly (Lloyd - May 2022). Justice is taking its good time so I’m instructing my lawyers to give this case a good push (Lloyd - Sept 2022). The Croatian legal system is glacially slow and it may take years to get justice (Lloyd - April 2023). Just because the case was dismissed doesn’t mean the criminal defendants weren’t guilty (Lloyd - Soon).

Exjw’s definitely not. As for professional interviews….I don’t know

This exchange on Twitter is interesting. It would seem that he considers Mark O'Donnell a professional interview subject. He's acting like this is the days of the Pony Express and Mark would need to show up at the Croatian main office to pick up a cheque. If only Mark had offered his PayPal info (most urgent) or if Lloyd Evans discovered the wonderful world of Venmo or whatever the equivalent is over there.
